Dr. Joseph J. Moellman has died. The cause of his death is uet tobe revealed to the public by his family members who still mourn this great loss. Dr. Moellman served as a Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the same institution in 1992 and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Cincinnati/University Hospital. Board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine since 1997, Dr. Moellman’s clinical interests encompass emergency medicine, telemedicine, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He is affiliated with the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and The Jewish Hospital-Mercy Health in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dr. Moellman’s research has significantly advanced the understanding and management of angioedema in emergency settings. He co-authored a consensus parameter for the evaluation and management of angioedema in the emergency department, providing a comprehensive guide for clinicians. Additionally, his work on the effectiveness of ecallantide in treating angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor-induced angioedema has been influential in shaping treatment protocols.
Beyond his clinical and research endeavors, Dr. Moellman is dedicated to medical education, mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows. His commitment to advancing emergency medicine through education and research has solidified his reputation as a respected leader in the field.
